How a Garden Room can add value
With more people working from home, Garden Rooms are becoming the new office.
There’s nothing worse than having all your paperwork piled up on your kitchen or dining room table. Most people want to escape at the end of the day, not have a constant reminder of the challenges work may present or those last few tasks you weren’t able to finish.
A place to run your business
I’ve seen first-hand the difference a dedicated space can make to organising your home- worklife. The first Garden Room I created back in 2004 was soon adopted by my wife as a place to run her business from and balance the needs of three young children. And at the end of the day, she closed the doors, walked up the garden and left it behind.
Creative space to express yourself
It’s not all about work though, Garden Rooms have also become a creative space to express yourself in, a place to pursue hobbies or enjoy some socially distanced downtime with friends.
I’ve just finished a project for a lovely retired couple who have completely renovated their home and added a contemporary new Garden Room as a retreat, with fully stocked bar included. Ours always doubled up as a place for children’s parties and sleepovers, so we could keep the mess contained! It could also be a gym, cinema room or place to do arts and crafts, the possibilities are endless.
Designed to suit your style
By creating bespoke designs we can make your garden room light and airy, warm and cosy or a standout statement building to say something about you and your business.
For me, my first design was a creative outlet, to showcase my carpentry skills and create a personal tribute to the California case study houses, with cantilever roof and lots of light and glass to bring the outside in. No wonder my wife soon made it hers!
It’s a personal journey but whatever you decide, we’re here to help you interpret your ideas and design a Garden Room to suit your individual needs and style.
