About Mez Design

Mez Design was founded by Paul “Mez” Meyrick, a skilled carpenter with a natural eye for great design. Located in Kinver, near Stourbridge, Paul first gained recognition for his handcrafted statement furniture. In 2001, he shifted his focus to custom garden rooms. With decades of carpentry experience and a passion for wood, sustainable materials, and thoughtful design, every Mez garden room is tailored to the customer, its intended use, and the garden it lives in.

Nothing we build is pre-made. Whether it’s a home office, gym, studio, or entertainment space, each garden room is designed to fulfill the specific needs of the project and enhance its surroundings. Craftsmanship and personal service are central to every project, from the initial conversation to the finished product. We take great pride in the positive feedback we’ve received from both customers and architects.

More about the materials. Chosen to last.

The materials we use are chosen for their quality, durability and ability to perform well all year round. And, of course, because they look stunning.

For the exterior, you can choose between Cedar cladding or Thermowood, depending on the look you prefer. Both create a high-quality finish and are ideal for long term outdoor use.

Each garden room is finished with a durable EPDM roof and guttering, with anthracite or black steel trims for a clean, modern look.

We also fit double-glazed windows and doors, with anthracite or black aluminium or uPVC options available to suit the design of your room.

The floor base, walls and ceiling are all fully insulated, helping to keep the space comfortable throughout the year. Airflow systems are built into the super structure to ensure longevity. Whether you’re using your room as an office, gym, studio or somewhere to relax, it’s built to be enjoyed in every season.
